HAMLET ... 'How All Occasions' a transformative moment in my Life ~

This past August in Ellora, my host brother, Irman Khan, let me rot in my monsoon leaky cement roofed apartment, he so generously 'gave' to me. I took the opportunity, as I could not bathe in my room, due to lack of water for 9 days, again, due to being left to fend for myself as my host ran for an election, that he won by the way. I saw this as an opportunity to put my anger to good use. When I say these words I am completely engrossed in 'stating the facts' about my then, current situation (the 2010 monsoon in Ellora) ... a time I will never forget. It taught me that I can have a true rage, a powerful connection to my anger and as an actor, I can access the emotional 'remembrance' ... very much a part and parcel with 'method acting'. I think this was my first REAL experience with emotional memory. Probably not, now that I think about it... ha Here are Two Takes of 'How All Occasions'. You can understand how an actor can use the text very differently, depending on the 'moment' ... this second version is much more enraged ~~~

Some of my Profile Thoughts on Facebook ~

Through yoga, the sannyasin constantly experiences the blissful self. The only alms he longs for is bliss.Even deep in a cemetery, he lives as if in a pleasure-garden.Aloneness is his only abode. He tirelessly strives for the light. His movement is into no-mind. His body is clean and pure.Non-dependence is his refuge. His activities are like a playing, dancing river.

I have 6 of these covered so far ...

I learned a few things in the last few days about my great grandfather guru, Swami Nityananda. He shared Raja yoga, specifically maintaining the breath in the teesra anke ... this is something I have been doing for years and it truly expands the oxygen in your skull to the point that i feel a bouyancy that i can simply describe as expansive and free. He was also from the Natha Lineage, although he claims he had no guru, but taught a form of monotheistic devotion to Shiva, ie: God. Kashmir Shaivism is another word for this. And did you know that originally Shiva was not one of the many gods of India, but was corrupted when the Aryans invaded India and became a demigod. wow, the things you learn after 10 years of studying a discipline.

It is up to you to make whatsoever you want out of your life. An enlightened consciousness makes even death beautiful. An unenlightened consciousness makes even life ugly. For an enlightened consciousness, only beauty exists -- only beauty; only bliss exists -- only bliss. OSHO

What is Bliss ? my definition is the electrical stimuli that permeate your entire being when you are in prayer to GOD.

and this one is my definitive rendering out of ALL the 365 TAKES of my HAMLET 365 Project on YouTube ... (this is for all my 'new' friends) ~

I'm sharing a personal moment I was blessed to experience on my last day in India last year. I was invited to sit next to my host brothers' adopted son, Anise, during his wedding. It was an honor to share with them in that day and in all of the days that they so generously opened their home and hearts to share with me.

I want to reach out to the world in this crises and try to share that I have been loved by a Muslim family in India and am still loved by them. They have taught me a Shanti (peaceful) way of living, in ELLORA, INDIA. I honor them with this message for peace... the best way I know how, through my art.

So the question is answered in this way. Shaktim is a hindi name for PEACE. I am a yogic Scientist and I am on a mission to share the bliss of breathing with intention. Something that Every Human being is entitled to. The Air we Breathe. Recognizing the molecules for being the God Consciousness that they are. We are a vessel. Fill yourself with peace each and every breath that you take. It is a simple philosophy yet profoundly difficult to understand. The yogis understood it... The Quantum Physicists Understand it. NOW its time for RELIGIONS to UNDERSTAND IT. WE WERE CREATED by GOD to Embody HIS essence !!!

EVERYONE ... PLEASE PRAY for PEACE NOW !!!

Blessings to each and every one of you. And reach out to someone you don't know or whom you would normally not speak to TODAY !!! GIVE PEACE a CHANCE !

I do not condone A N Y WAR.

I like this TAKE because I have been with Jack now for a couple of months and I think his technique (one of them) of asking What? from moment to moment, was beginning to be answered in this rendering. What is it like for an actor to work out TEXT ? Some new questions arise as I am beginning to learn some valuable lessons about acting. Being in the moment that exists as one trusts in the play. I feel as an actor I have always generalized the work that I've done and mostly just placed emotion on top of the text, my own personal agenda of fears and emotional life, being the enormous well of angst that I own. Stanislavski said that 'Generalization is the enemy of art'... Jack believes that the more you are clear on what you, as the character, are doing, the less you need to load why... so in the background work that you do... it is not brought to the moment... it is the circumstance of the life of the character... but knowing what you are doing in the moment of speaking the text... this is what I am now working on... I hope you enjoy my adventure into becoming a professional actor and one that is not just acting by accident. A special thanks to Allan Rich for the tools he gave me in our first session...
